The Collaborative Aligns with ACG-MN; Builds on Alignment with LSA & MHTA

Two weeks ago we announced a strategic alignment and 2nd half 2014 membership transfer to LifeScience Alley (LSA) and MN High Tech Association (MHTA). Today we're pleased to announce a similar strategic 'collaboration' between The Collaborative and the Minnesota Chapter of the Association of Corporate Growth (ACG) where all members and sponsors of The Collaborative will be grandfathered in as trial members of ACG. ACG will also co-host our April 9, 2014 Private Equity event (as LSA is co-hosting our Feb. 27, 2014 Medtech event and MHTA is co-hosting our May 8, 2014 Tech.2014 event).

"We're thrilled to be working with Minnesota's leading transaction focused industry group ACG. We're humbled and honored to have ACG, MHTA and LSA co-host our spring 2014 events and also to offer the great membership benefits of their organizations to our members as The Collaborative suspends its event activities in June 2014."
Dan Carr, CEO, The Collaborative

"Minnesota is well positioned as a leader in growth company transactions such as private equity and mergers & acquisitions. The Collaborative, through its events such as "Private Equity", have convened transaction advisors, investors and executives in meaningful forums which ACG is thrilled to take on and grow in the coming years."
Brian Klein, Chair and Nicki Vincent, Executive Director, Association of Corporate Growth-MN Chapter

Members of The Collaborative will be treated as members of LSA, MHTA and ACG for the second half of 2014 and will get a sneak peak at the benefits of joining these fantastic organizations. They will also be offered the opportunity to renew with them later in 2014 and in 2015, as their memberships in The Collaborative lapse.

The Collaborative Aligns with LSA & MHTA

Today we are proud to announce a strategic 'collaboration' between The Collaborative and Minnesota's premier life science and technology business organizations. Effective June 2014, both Life Science Alley (LSA) and the Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) will welcome members and sponsors of The Collaborative as members of LSA and MHTA. These stalwart Minnesota business groups have thriving memberships of their own and will also be co-hosting The Collaborative's well-branded Medtech event (LSA) and Tech.2014 event (MHTA), respectively.

Members of The Collaborative who are not already members of LSA and MHTA will become members of their organizations starting in June 2014 and experience the benefits of joining these fantastic organizations.

"We're thrilled to be working with Minnesota's leading industry groups in the technology and life sciences represented by these longstanding market leaders MHTA and LSA.  We're humbled and honored to have them co-host our spring 2014 events and also to offer the great membership benefits of their organizations to our members as The Collaborative suspends its event activities in June 2014."
Dan Carr, CEO, The Collaborative

"The Collaborative has done an outstanding job convening and nurturing Minnesota's entrepreneurial ecosystem and we're pleased to carry on some of that activity as the leading life sciences oriented organization in Minnesota, and the largest regional organization in the nation.  We are pleased to offer members of The Collaborative access to our events, educational offerings, purchasing programs, networks and services."
Dale Wahlstrom, CEO, Life Science Alley and the BioBusiness Alliance

"Technology and science stand at the core of innovation in our state. The Collaborative has done great work serving the innovation economy across industries for many years and MHTA is excited to offer the members of The Collaborative access to our membership, our broader technology industry and events such as the Tekne Awards, the Spring Conference and numerous other forums."
Margaret Anderson Kelliher, President, Minnesota High Tech Association

The plan is not only to serve you as members with outstanding Collaborative content, discounts and networking through the first half 2014, but to avail you the great repertoire of these leading groups and their memberships into the 2nd half of 2014 and beyond. MHTA and LSA are also each planning to continue to deliver Medtech (LSA) and Tech.2015 (MHTA) in 2015 and beyond.

We also have an update on the 28th Annual Venture & Finance Conference--October 30, 2014: ($200 Member Discount)
The Minnesota Venture Capital Association (MVCA) and The Collaborative have co-hosted this premier event for 27 years. In the wake of The Collaborative suspension of event planning activities in June, the MVCA is proud to partner with MHTA and LSA along with hopes to continue its long running Conference support relationships with DEED, MN Cup, universities and Twin Cities Business in continuing this phenomenal event. We are busy putting together the 2014 Annual Venture & Finance Conference working group and are proud to align with premier entities to put this amazing and important event together.
Good news for Members of The Collaborative: if you are a member in 2014 you’ll receive the traditional $200 member discount at this year’s conference: October 30, 2014 at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
